The Discovery Data Hub incorporates fire department EMS related incidents that are submissions in the 300 series for the National Fire Incident Reporting System (NFIRS). The interface allows the user to drill down to specific geographical areas that include State, County and Census Tract levels that provide detail on top EMS incident types, actions taken and incident locations. The maps are also color-coded to give you information on incident rates per capita which is a quick way to make geographic location comparisons. Pop up dialogue boxes provide the data in an easy-to-use format to cut-and-paste it into your Community Risk Assessment document.
Please be sure to read the FAQs that provide detailed information on browsers supported, performance, sourced data and methods to enhance the user experience.
By zooming in on this map below you can focus on a specific geographic area and by clicking on a census tract, you can get more data related to that area.
