Discovery Data Hub – U.S. Fire Incidents Per Capita

Funded by a grant from the FEMA Fire Prevention and Safety Grant Program

Discovery incorporates incident data from across the nation that prioritizes the top fire incidents within a selected response area and provides details on the top incident actions taken and the location type.  The simple-to-use graphical map interface allows users to drill down to State, County and Census Tract levels and provides the means to gather detail at the neighborhood level as well as make comparisons to State, County and other jurisdictions you feel are relevant.  By breaking the data down to the lowest level through Census Tracts, you can build your jurisdictional data from the ground up to show differences across your response area. Pop up dialogue boxes provide the data in an easy-to-use format to cut-and-paste it into your Community Risk Assessment document. The maps are also color-coded to give you information on incident rates per capita which is a quick way to make geographic location comparisons.

Please be sure to read the FAQs that provide detailed information on browsers supported, performance, sourced data and methods to enhance the user experience.

By zooming in on this map below you can focus on a specific geographic area and by clicking on a census tract, you can get more data related to that area.
